The Sensationals is a music tribute show! See the best music played from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Performed by a live five piece band. Hear hit songs from Neil Diamond and Dame Shirley Bassey. How about ABBA, Elvis and Queen? Roy Orbison, The Beatles and Dusty too! All of the classic hits from years gone by.
The 50’s and 60’s was a time when rock and roll and rock music came of age. Groups such as The Shadows and Creedence made their mark. Then there were great artists like Tina Turner and The Beatles. And finally the sounds of Mowtown and Country filled the air.
The 70’s saw a variety of new rock styles begin to emerge. Disco was a huge hit! The Jacksons and ABBA led the way. Then The Cars and The Ramones rocked the charts. In addition there was the soul music of Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin.
The Sensationals – an award winning music act!
Pulse band presents the Sensationals shows. An award winning music act you see at the Adelaide Fringe. They also present as The Desirables. You may have seen their Dinner with the Stars show! Costume changes and roving moments is what the crowd love most of all. People groove and dance to the music. As a result the crowd join in and sing. The five piece band features both male and female lead singers. Added to the mix is live guitar, bass, keyboard and drums. Since the singers like to mingle with the crowd, there is always plenty of laughter. Using props further adds more fun and joy to the Show.
These shows are part of the OOTS program. OOTS stands for Out of the Square. Shows begin at 11:00 am and finish at 12:10 pm. Two shows begin at 2:00 pm and finish at 3:30 pm. The tour starts on Tuesday, 12th of June and finishes on Thursday, 21st of June.
